A disclaimer, first. I am a big fan of product roadmaps. They provide wholesome information about what’s coming next. Windows 8.1 Update 3, for Microsoft, it seems is now on the horizon.

This is, according to a new roadmap that has just leaked.

It shows (and confirms) that the company is working on Windows 8.1 Update 3 along with Windows 9 and Windows 365. We have heard all sorts of details regarding these three distinct versions of the platform, and this new reveal just supports the notion that big things are planned.

You can take a look at this lengthy roadmap below. And by lengthy I do not mean just in terms of months and years, the image is a bit of a skyscraper itself.

Obviously, the official status of all three operating systems mentioned above is unknown, even if some very solid hints have come our way from very solid sources.

But as far as this roadmap is concerned, there is no way to ascertain whether this is accurate or not. Even if it’s fake, it only points to the rumors we have been hearing these past few months. Nevertheless, it is perhaps safe to assume the company is working on Windows 8.1 Update 3 in some capacity.

Redmond would want to keep consumers updated until Windows 9 comes around.
