It was just 4 days back when we got news about Windows 8 build 7974. And now it seems that the compilation of another Windows 8 build has taken place. According to Zukona the latest build compiled is build 7976. The complete build string is 6.2.7976.0.110401-1700 which states that the build was compiled on April 1. In the meantime Windows 8 build 7975 has also been compiled with build string as 6.2.7975.0.110331-1827.

Other Builds compiled recently are-

6.2.7974.0.110330-1622
6.2.7973.0.110329-xxxx
6.2.7972.0.110328-1838
6.2.7971.0.110324-1900

Don't they compile a new build daily?  I imagine they use a nightly setup to keep everyone working on different components (or compartments, with the MinWin idea) together.

Would you explain what might identify this build as pre-beta? I understand Milestone 3 hasn't finished it's compilation yet.
